Walkaround, GT, Endurance
The walkarounds (Pardo 38, 43 and 50) are day cruisers with protected side decks, designed for day trips and short cruises. The GT models offer more interior volume and a sheltered helm, while the Endurance line is aimed at longer cruising. Someone buying a walkaround mainly compares it with other day cruisers of the same size.
As the brand is young, most used boats are only a few years old. Their value is therefore also measured against a new boat: options, delivery time and list price all feature in the buyer's thinking.
Private use or day charter
Some of these day cruisers work in day charter along the coast. A boat that has been chartered often has more hours, harder-worked upholstery and decks, and sometimes equipment specific to commercial use. Hours alone do not tell the whole story: the regularity of servicing counts for more.
That is not a fault in itself, but it should be stated and documented: service log, service invoices, record of engine hours. A buyer who plans to charter the boat will look at those documents closely.
What drives the value
- the engines, the drive and the hours on each engine;
- servicing to the engine maker's schedule, backed by invoices;
- sun protection: hard top, opening roof or bimini depending on the version;
- the teak on deck and in the cockpit, very visible on a walkaround;
- the hull colour and its condition;
- options: stabiliser, bow thruster, electronics, cockpit galley, sound system.
Before you put your Pardo on the market
Gather the bill of sale with the list of options, the VAT evidence and the CE declaration of conformity. If any manufacturer or engine maker cover is still running, check whether it passes to the new owner and on what terms.
Have the boat fully cleaned and photographed in good weather: on a day cruiser, the exterior makes the first impression. Then request a valuation to see where your price stands against comparable boats for sale today. Indicative valuation. It does not replace a survey.
